more than likely its burning oil since you said you see the smoke at high rpm. normally if a engine is burning oil at high rpm, it is the valve stem seals that are needing replaced.

30k? thats it? lol...that one dude with the cbr has over 200,000 miles with no rebuild

Well, I don't know if it is appropriate to post this in the thread now...

But, ATM I'm having the car towed back to my place while I decide what I want to do. The car had issues that annoyed me for the last few years unrelated to this and it is not worth much. I've been weighing this versus spending more money than I may want to fix them all versus having no monthly payment or buying another $3,000 car out right that may be in the same boat soon.

Not sure if it is possible, but maybe sometime soon I can have you come out and look at it Mike and give me your opinion. Some dosh will be involved for your time of course.

yea, i can come out and look at it sometime.

for 3k you could get a pretty reliable honda or toyota. (it sounds like you just need something that isnt going to be breaking down all the time)
