I've always wondered how my bike would do on a track. My bike has all of its power in the high end, but nothing down low. On the other hand, it does have track oriented suspension. Maybe someday I can answer that question.

Looks like there were several get-offs. Was there a track issue, or just bad luck?

I found it interesting to see you went on sport-touring tires with no problems. I am currently running Avon Storms (ST tire), and I haven't had any concerns whatsoever with them while flogging the twisties. I was wondering if I would be better off switching to a softer compound before taking it to the track, since the tires would be pushed more.
There were only a couple of guys who went off. All in the morning on the 2nd session going into the corner to fast lol.

I was told by our guy Patrick motorcycles unlimited (Cody knows these folks) that my Z6s would be fine on the track and that almost all the guys out there never really need those sticky tires and don't get to use them for what they were made to do. I'd like to get something more sticky later on but I'll wait until I get better on the track and lose confidence IF I ever start slipping. I'm sure it will happen I just haven't got there yet.

There are quite a few tracks around within a few hours drive so I'll be going a lot more. I've had a couple of close calls on the city streets that have made me reconsider riding out here. the roads are not even that nice. I'll be sticking to commuting and the track only. I keep getting tickets and well the price of a ticket is the price of a track day... EEK~!!!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. seems like a good group up there!
