Just ran across this today about how to make a site more mobile friendly.

How to Make a Blog or Site into a Mobile App (Without Programming Knowledge)?

Also, an RSS feed would be stellar.

I don't know much about RSS feeds, and I don't have a clue what mobile device you're using, but compared to a lot of other forums I frequent, this is one of the easiest/most friendly non-mobile sites to view on a mobile device.

IIRC (and falx will correct me if I'm wrong), to make this forum mobile ready, it will be a lot of work or cost a lot of money, or something to that effect. For the limited number of members (and those that actually use mobile devices) on this forum, it may not be feasible to go through the hassle/expense. If this were a national forum - I'd say yes, but for a mid-MO local forum where at least one user just upgraded from dial-up (congrats on the upgrade Pegasus), the demand may not be there.

98% of my activity on here is via my iphone and it works fine for me. (ironically, I'm typing this on my home PC)

Yea the site displays properly, but it's squeezed down to a mobile screen.

There are some sites that are "optimized" for mobile browsers (reformatted frames, etc).

If the site doesn't have the capability or there is some silly cost associated, I totally understand and the site is great.

Just thought it'd be cool, if not, that's great too. Just an idea

It can be done. But it would cost money to be done correctly. Considering the investment I already have in the forum I dont think its really worth it as of now.

Also, a while back when you asked me about RSS feeds I looked into it, and all I could find was basically where someone elses RSS feeds would show up as posts in a forum, rather than turning any new post into an RSS feed. I may be able to work something out with the protal page, where when a post updates there it updates an RSS feed, but I would have to do some more digging.
