The particular vulnerabilty he posted about does not affect this forum at all.

Also, the spam wave has hit every phpbb amd vbulletin forum in the world. The larger forums all generaly use what we use, vbulletin. They just have lots of time and effort and employees and have some different spam protection. The protection I hav eput in place tonight should help immensely.

I wasn't talking about whatever vulnerability, only the upgrade itself. you said it was going to cause problems with your customs and stuff. I was just trying to throw some ideas out there hoping maybe one of them would be useful lol.

it's like cleaning the garage (sort of) more help makes it a bit easier and by dividing up what needs to be done into smaller sections, it's not so overwhelming.

not sure if what I'm saying is making any sense. I've been working a bunch of overnights and just had 2 back to back morning shifts with more overnights on the way so my sleep schedule is waaaay off. the short and sweet of it is I was trying to be helpful lol

ah.. well they are also talking about upgrading to vbulletin 4.0, which would cost me a chunk of money, and for the size of the forum is not needed
