Change in how the reputation system works

We havent ever got much use out of this system so I decided to make it a lot easier to gain and give reputation.


To approve or dissaprove of a post click the little Heart button on the top right of the post header.

Here is how the new rep rules will work.

All new users start with 10 reputation. There are several reputation 'levels' you can advance to and they change your rep title as you move up (or down) This is intended as a user based 'approval rating on how someone conducts themself within the forum. You must have a minimum of 5 posts before your rep hits count on other members reputation. You can view who has given you rep and the comments they have made by clicking one of the many User CP links available to you. The information is located on the main User CP panel.

When you give another user + or - rep;

For every 30 days registered on the forum a user gains 1 point of rep altering power.

For every 50 posts on the forum a user gains 1 point of rep altering power.

For every 100 reputation points a user gains 1 point of rep altering power.

I'm glad you posted this because I had no idea how it worked. I could see my rep go up and the comments people left, but didn't know how to do it back. Thanks for the info.

Is this for post starting now or do we get credit for old post?

Any post can be repped, old or new.

All reputation you may have had before this change will stay as is.

If your user name was transfered over from the old board you will have 0 rep to start with unless someone has given you some. If you are a new register, you start with 10.
