Well actually, being hacked, and being spammed are two different things.
I have been getting super slammed by spambots lately. You should see how many DONT get through the defenses. Hundreds every day. Unfortunately I can only do so much to stop them, the main way is by banning email domains, but, alot of them use gmail and other free services, so if i was to ban those I would be banning real live patrons as well :/

I would like to mention also, that It does not take alot for me to destroy the spammers and spamposts off of the forum, but If I am at work or something I just dont know about it.
You should have seen the mess I cleaned up early this morning :P

I use recaptcha. But, sometimes they get through. Believe me there are hundreds eveyr day that get stopped by the captcha/email verification

Ive been gettin hammered by spam bots lately.
they are coming from gmail accounts. If i ban all gmail accounts that will affect actual members so :/ ill have to figure something out
