Ron, have you committed to this yet? I thought you committed back in March!
Anyone else up for a track school? August 29-30...two days of professional track instruction by Jason Pridmore and his crew. For those who don't know him, he was an AMA 750 Supersport champion, AMA Formula Extreme champion, and FIM World Endurance champion. He has also competed in FIM World Supersport. I am pretty excited about having the opportunity to get some on-track coaching from world-class racers. The school will be held at Heartland Park near Topeka, KS. Unlike Hallett, this is a national-level track that has hosted AMA Superbike races. This will be my first time at this track, and at a track with pavement this nice. Here is a link to the school: Motorcycle Riding School - Jason Pridmore's STAR Motorcycle School

I have every intention of going but there are a couple of things I have to solidify before I commit 100%.

pridemore's star was my first track experience. it was AWESOME it was the start of a bad habit for me - dedicated track bike, etc Highly recommend this or any other formal riding school even if "racing" isn't your thing.

Man, I'd love to do that. Money will keep me from ever doing a track day unfortinitly, those who go have fun and be safe!

It's way cheaper than a speeding ticket (or a street crash).

Well I don't do either of those, so I beg to differ.

LOL, It's like they say, it's not a matter of if you crash, it's a matter of when...whether someone else runs into you, you screw up, or something jumps out in front of you, eventually everyone (that rides) will crash.
If you don't do it this year, save your pennies for next year. It's a great learning experience.

I know I know, but I could ride the whole season for that amount of cash. Work is just so damn slow, if it picks up maybe next year I'll do it to it.

You could ride a whole season on the street for that amount of cash. Listen to people who have been to the track several times. What is one thing we have in common? We have become track JUNKIES! After one track fix, the only thing I can think about is the next track fix. I could also compare it to sex. After a good day at the track I am completely exhausted and thoroughly satisfied. I could ride ten seasons on the street and not come close to the nirvana that one track day provides. The sensation of speed and the feeling of pushing the bike and myself is amazing. Yeah, track days are that good. I do understand the money thing, though. The people I want to kick off the fence are those who think they aren't "fast enough" to attend a track day. If that is a reason holding anyone back, it isn't a good reason!!!
