I'd like to go shoot, but ammo is just ridiculous anymore. I need to save it for when the zombies attack! Honestly, I'd really like to get one of the new .22 rimfire AR15 clones and/or an MP5 clone in .22 rimfire. Then I'd be at the range all the time.

Well we ended up going Saturday due to scheduling conflicts. It was a bit cold and a bit wet but we probably went through quite a few hundred 9mm rounds between my XD and his Glock 17 and 26. The fun though was finishing up on the sighting in of my .222 (I put 5 rounds through the same hole at 75 yds) and puting a couple of magazines through his AR-15. I don't know what kind of scope he had on it, but it was a round dot scope with no crosshairs so it wasn't as acurate as it could have been. We figure though with our groupings we could have taken out a human at around 400 yards and a zombie at 200 ( you have to be more acurate with the headshots on a zombie). Good times though, I'm pumped about getting everyone here in one place at one time.

Now that I have figured out who some of the interested members are, what is everyones thoughts on getting together?
My preference is Sunday after noon and where do we want to go? |

Sunday is grand and barring work, I'm usually free. Location is up to the rest of you folks as I'm only familiar with Fingerlakes. Are there any local outdoor ranges with some semblance of a shelter to shoot under or are we going to have to brave it.

Scrivner Wildlife Area (Russelville) has a roof type shelter, but I am not sure that it is worth the drive down there. Currently the forecast for this Sunday is mid-30's for a high.

Scrivner or Fingerlakes are about the same road trip for me.

^^^ I thought I would feel the same way, but as long as you wear your long johns and bring a pair of hobo gloves you should be fine. Me and my buddy were out at around 30 degrees for a couple of hours and the only reason we came in was because it was getting dark.
