Also, would I be able to do the throttle body sync on my own as well? To be honest, I don't even know what that means. And what about the exhaust vavle/intake stuff? Is that DIY as well? Or are those the valves that everyone is referring to when they have their "valves" checked?
A TB sync will require a set of vacuum gauges, a sync tool, or some form of manometer. It can be done with a single gauge, but it's a real PITA and is much easier with a 4 gauge setup. You basically make minor adjustments to the throttle plate opening (or air screw on some models) to get each TB to pull the same amount of vacuum - thus being in "sync" with each other. Read here.

Not sure what you mean by exhaust valve intake stuff, but I think to answer your question - YES. When checking "valves", you are checking the clearances of the intake and exhaust valves.

OK Ron...I'm new at this stuff, so yes, dumb questions may arise.

BUT, have you found out anything more about the Akrapovic questions I had asked you about a couple weeks ago??

Earz - I don't even know what I mean by exhaust valve intake stuff, it was just wording I see on the kawiforums when stuff like this gets brought up and asked on there. I may just end up seeing if one of you all would be willing to help me out one of these days...

Unfortunately it looks like the only way to get a full Akra is to buy a full Akra all at once. They won't sell just the header and even if you could find a used header there would be a section of pipe missing from the end of that header to the beginning of your slip-on. About the only option would to be purchasing a system that was damaged in a wreck (subframes and mufflers get destroyed in a lot of cases while headers and mid-pipes usually escape unscathed) and using that + your parts to make a complete one.
