Default Bleeding the Brakes

I've never used a kit...but I've never bled them on a bike either.

Do you recommend a kit?

They make it easier but you still need to do it the good old fashioned way to finish out.

I looked at the MityVac kit, but it's 2x's the cost...is it 2x's better?

$25 or $50 isn't a big deal, but is it better than the average kits?

A lot of newer master cylinders have a bleeder on them as well. If not, you can still get the air that gets trapped in the m/cyl to brake line connection by pumping the brakes and loosening that banjo bolt with the brake lever held. Same as cracking open the bleeder. Of course you'll want a rag wrapped around this area to catch the fluid that leaks out.
