Of course, I'll help as much as I can. Simply trace wire from battery to starter solenoid. The other large wire on solenoid goes to the starter. If you jump these two large wires (with a screwdriver "CAUTION:sparks may fly") the starter should move. If it doesn't, you need to remove your starter motor to bench test it. If it works on the bench, you have other problems (starter drive gear bind, engine hydro-locked, etc).

If the starter turned when you jumped the solenoid, it's probably just a wiring problem. Trace the smaller wires. One should go to the start button (or kill switch). The other may run to the start button or it may go to fuse panel/box (refer to service manual above).

I think Earz is a super-sophisticated knowledge bot sent back in time to lay to rest all questions motorcycle related.

Aaron. be sure to post up what you find. Or even if you have more questions. I just looked at the wiring diagram in the manual I posted. It's a piss poor diagram, but look at page 187 (or 182 if going by the printed page numbers). It covers the starter motor circuit. A little further down, it covers the starter drive chain inspection.

What color is your KZ? It's not yellow is it?

What are your plans for the Kawi?

Remember, pictures or it didn't happen.
