Well, the little brackets are used to mount a center stand to. If you plan to never reinstall the center stand, you could cut one or both of the brackets off, but due to the S-bend required of the mid-pipe to clear the swingarm and your desire to keep the exhaust quiet-ish, I think you may have to settle on just making a custom exhaust hanger that will do away with the passenger pegs. Your current muffler is already louder than stock, and shortening it at all will decrease its muffling capabilities. A 4" straight thru muffler will be just a hair quieter than running with only the mid-pipe.

Or you could completely custom fab an undertail (or left side exit) exhaust - which will be $$$ and time consuming. If you plan to go that route, you'd be better off selling the F3 and buying a RR.

might just try to make something like that i love the sound of it with the ssr2, and dont mind how long it is just because the bike looks so long..

The hard part about a bracket like that is getting the hole spacing correct.

Or you could buy something like this and attach it to the header with some sort of elbow and call it a day. It would probably stick out just past the fairing.

how much would it quite it though i plan on many 3+ hour trips on this bike mainly to illinois where they have exhaust db laws i was lokking at the tip like that on ebay but it say 105 db doesnt seem much quiter then open header

well put pegs back on and muffler been too nice had to ride without getting puller over..
