Alfa-Stu is getting up to speed
Default New Guy and DIY Shop

Greetings, my name is Stuart. I've been in COMO now for 8 years but am originally British. Love cars. Love bikes. Love anything with wheels and an engine! Joined this forum several months ago but never posted - I shall slap my own hand!

Got several rides but the pride and joy (and also bane of my existence) is my 1990 Alfa Romeo Spider. As for the bikes - well there's three: The Rib Wrecker - 90's Yamaha WR200; The Keeper - 2001 Suzuki SV650; and The Beast - 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200.

I also wanted to introduce my new business - TheTuningSPOT - Mid MO's first and only Fully Equipped Do-It-Yourself Auto Repair Facility. Check us out at www.thetuningspot.com. Rent bays by the hour with tools, lifts and everything else!! We are located at 1800 Burlington St near Paris Rd - 447-8099. If you haven't winterized yet and need a warm space and some tools - this is your place! We even let two bikes share a bay at the same price.

Hope to meet some of you in the future. May this be a short winter!

Stuart

Welcome.

Damnit!!! I don't live around there anymore! I know they have those kinds of things on US military bases and they are ALWAYS booked so I assume they're hugely popular.

Since I come back to JC monthly, I might be using those bays!

There is one of these on MO 52 just outside of Eldon, also (U-Wrench-It, I think). Sounds like a winning idea. By "fully equipped", what do you mean? Lifts and air, I assume, but what else?

Welcome Stuart! I heard the advertisment for your business on the radio a week or so ago. It intrigued me.

We have four lifts: Two 2-post lifts and One 4-post lift, as well as a Low-Rise Scissor Lift. Air is coming - I have the industrial compressor but the lines have not been put up yet - this should be coming early 2012.

Please check out the website Welcome to The Tuning Spot | DIY Car Workshop as you can find all the info there including Hours, Contact info and Rates etc.

The only things we do not do at TheTuningSPOT are Welding; Tires; Painting; and Alignments. You should be able to do anything else car/bike related.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Hope to meet many of you in the near future.

Stuart
