Yep, come December I will be moving to Missouri. Wife is in Air Force and we will be living somewhere around Whiteman AFB which is in Warrensburg/Knob Noster, MO. I'm currently in Olympia, WA. So hoping you guy's can pass some information on to me. Hoping to meet some new riders, learn some new roads, and get to track days(if you have them). I currently visit the local track day here often and hope to continue in Missouri. Right now I am riding a YZ426 Supermoto and a '03 R6.
Some question's I have: - What's the sportbike and supermoto scene like? - Any good roads I should learn of? - Supermoto tracks/sportbike tracks? - Area's I should avoid living around Whiteman AFB? - Good local motorcycle shops?

welcome to the knob!
tons of good roads to the south - head down 71 and split off anywhere around the MO/AR/OK border you'll be fairly close to Heartland Park Topeka and not too terribly far from MidAmerica Motorplex there also used to be a SM group that race just east of KC off I-70 - not sure if they still run there or not. Whats your wife's AFSC? After I retired, my wife was active duty and I followed her around as a *dependant wife* for a few years. I LOVED it!!! M |

Thanks. I don't know my wifes AFSC(job code) right? But her job title is Aircraft Armorment systems. I'm Army now, get out in September. Got 12 1/2 yrs right now. I'm planning to do full 20, just I need some time off from the Military right now. Stuff can burn you out after so many years. I know it's going to feel great being a dependent thats for sure.

right - MOS for you guys - my wife was Army.
interesting in how you see army taking time off like you mentioned, this really doesn't happen in the air force. I think its harder to come back in for us - a different mindset. being a dependent was awesome - I keep a clean house, cook a mean meatloaf, and have plenty of time to f-off! I even joined the wives club for awhile |
