New guy from Jefferson City

I'm Nick and I'm sure a lot of you already know me. I'm one of the admins on midwestce.net and due to pretty much getting an offer I couldn't say no to, ended up with an 07 CBR1000RR last week. I got it as part of a package deal with my brother who got an 08 CBR600RR for a pretty great price. I'm sure I'll get flak from it, but I won't try to deny that this is my first street bike. I put around 100 miles on it on Friday and that was a good time. I'll be glad when this heat goes away, because, I do wear gear like a smart fella and, jesus I go from a good smelling guy to swamp ass quicker than a good rider could get this bike 0-60.

I'm honestly just enjoying the ride, not even the performance of the bike (well, that's enjoyable, but you know what I mean). For what it's worth, I'll be 30 in about a week and this (a bike) has just been something I've wanted for a very long time and I felt that everything fell into my lap way too easily to say no to this thing. I definitely have "the fever", but it's quite tame right now and I am QUITE fine with that.

I have a fun car too, but it's just in the garage as I'm on a waiting list to get an engine built for it. It's a 92 Stealth R/T Twin Turbo that will be having a 3.54L stroker in it soon, fully built from top to bottom, etc. That engine setup is going to be pretty much the same one that powered the quickest/fastest Stealth/3000GT to date (8.7's @ 170'ish mph), but I just won't have the turbos that he had. I'm hoping for about 650-700 awhp w/ the turbos I currently have, then I'll go up from there.

Anyways, I'm sure I'll see some of you all around. Look for the 6'5" tall guy on the red/black bike!
