i usually screw in some 8m bolts to the swingarm if the person doesnt have spools. and jack up the bike and use a normal set of short jack stands, with the bolt resting in the valley of the stand. for the front we have a regular hoist along with a strap

If your going to be owning a sport bike for some time and plan on doing a lot of your own light maintenance and repair just buy stands. I have pitbull front and rear stands an they are awesome. They're quick to use, strong, and makes things much easier all together. You'll also have to drop just under 300 bucks for the pair, that's the only downside, but a good investment if you ask me.

I'd prefer to sell you a Pitbull stand because they're pretty much indestructible but if you watch the ads you can get those HB stands for next to nothing between the sale price and the 20% off coupons they usually have.

Step by step instructions were in my owners manual. May want to use it for refrence the first couple of times.
A rear stand is cheap insurance too, I have done it with regular car jack stands, but it was dangerous.

Flyin' Cycle has a set for $100+, but I would recommend the Pit Bull stands they are worth it.

With such a simple design as these stands. Is it worth the money for a pitbull or one of the 25 dollar once. What would be the different?

seeing the HB ones vs my pitbull stands (friend has some cheaper ones)

the pitbull ones are a lot thicker and just seem indestructable in comparison. I went with pitbull ones just due to reviews, i have seen a few reviews on cheaper ones via internet bending or getting twisted on imperfect standing attempts.

I'm not guru, just what i have seen. The stands were a lot, but i'll probably never have to replace them E V E R

On the hf ones the aluminum is pretty good thickness idk how you would ever destroy one using it as intended. On mine the hooks that go onto the spools couldnt go out far enough soo i put a foot on one end and pulled on the other and flipped it and bent it outward the inch i needed and works great now, it wasnt an easy bend either i had to put some force into it

I've got the ones from fly-n-cycle. I keep my bike on it at all times during the winter months just to keep the tires off the ground. They work great. The pit bull stands are pretty nice too.
