Default All those crazy winter riders...

I am taking my bike into Tergins (the bestest!) for some work today. To be frank i was scared about the cold temperatures and surviving the cold! With the right set of layers it wasn't too bad. Now i know how those "all-season" riders do it.

I miss the 70 degree days but hey at least I could give the ninjette some love!

Just keep in mind those sticky summer tires are not so sticky in the cold weather. Much less traction. Not a problem unless you find yourself going into a corner depending on the traction your summer tires normally give you.

It's gonna be almost 60 today! Worst part about riding in the winter isn't the cold air, but like Kurt said, the lack of traction. Between the tires not heating up and all of the salt, grit, and other crap than tends to accumulate, it can get a little hairy out there. And it's not always "the twisties" that are the problem - it's "the turn into the parking lot" that will kick your ass

Don't get me wrong, riding in the winter can be fun. Just a different type of riding and different things to watch out for.

I saw a green sportbike on Wildwood around 3pm. Rider was wearing a Hi-Viz yellow jacket. Was that you Tyler?

Saw the same rider (or jacket) about 30 min earlier too, but on a red bike.
