After about 5 mins i really liked it.I went on a porker run this weekend and had no trouble keeping up on the interstate even with the wind blowing. There are better bikes out there but for the price , comfort, and mileage I would recommend the 1800 to anybody. The balance is great after you stand it up.I took off all in smog control stuff yesterday and it sounds even deeper now. Is that your bike in the avatar?Hows that doing for you.By the way it was my first porker run and i won with 4-10,s

Yep thats my bike. Bike's doing good for me, its my first bike, idols a little rough. Thanks for the info on the VTX. I have a buddy that said that the 1800 was top heavy. Did you try the 1300? I've been looking at some VTX's online for my next bike.

I dont know exactly what he meant by top heavy.I am 6' and 240lbs and it takes some muscle to get it up right but after that it is great. It stays planted on the road because of its weight.I have not ridden the 1300 but would say it is a good bike and can do the kind of riding i do.70 and a little plus on the interstate.Again for the price the VTX seems good but unless someone has done the mods that really needs to be done you may have to but are really simple and i can even help if you get one.For more info you can browse this site. VTX Owners Association I think you will see that everyone likes their bikes but like all bikes you have to keep them up and this site can tell you how in easy terms.I was in a Harley state of mind until i rode this one.
