For those of you who don't already know...I couldn't pass this gig up.

I went to police motor school this last December in Arlington, TX. Yeah, who wants to go to a motorcycle school in December, right?!? Well, at least the weather is always nice in TX in December.

WRONG!!!


(yes, that is ice all over the training bike)

Despite the ice, rain, freezing temperatures, and wind, training went on:

Somehow, I passed. When I got home, I got my motor issued to me, and then we escorted the Governor's inauguration on Jan 12. It was about 19 degrees for the ride into JC that morning:

Are you actually going to be doing traffic runs (and in Jeff or Como?) or is she gonna be an escort/parade ride?

Oh, no, this puppy is a work bike! I'll be more than happy to participate in the fun stuff (parades, escorts, special assignments), but working traffic is its primary function.

I haven't worked Providence, though...that would probably be Columbia PD. They have two motor units, also.
