1982 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim
Nothing too exciting yet. I'm still working on getting a title for it. It was abandoned at the shop and the previous owner is unknown. I had a lead but it came up short - back to Dept. of Revenue for more hunting. On a good note - I got it running today and actually rode it down the hill at the shop. Kinda scary as the brakes aren't great at all - and the fact that I was riding it without a seat with a giant battery jump box between my legs didn't help. It looks pretty rough right now but I have plans for it. Here's a pic with no fuel tank or seat (only one I have for right now) ![]() Similar to what I workin at (only mine won't be a hardtail ![]() Or this

If I ever get the money I want to buy an Earl Kane bobber! This 1964 Triumph bobber is by far my favorite! You can check out his other bikes at http://www.earlsbikes.net/http://www.earlsbikes.net/

here's some new pics of mine.
Got the fuel leak fixed on the petcock, tank installed, seat installed, mirrors removed, chopped the stock battery box and relocated it to accomodate a sealed battery. ![]()

Those bobbers are cool, though I don't think I'd ever "buy" one. Now if I could find the time, energy, and expertise to "build" one, I'd be all over it. Actually what I'd really like to do is something like this:
How cool would it be to cruise around town on one of these?
