Alright, so my rebuild has begun (FINALLY got my bike back from getting hit a month ago at a stop sign). Step one: fork seal, and I've discovered I need a Fork Spring Compressor tool to disassemble the thing. I was able to do this job on my older bike ('02 XZ-6R) without such a tool, but I'm not seein how to get around it this time.
I have an '08 ZX-6R. If anyone has this tool or some suggestions, any help would be greatly appreciated! |

3" or 4" diameter schedule 40 PVC pipe (whatever size will fit over the largest diameter of the fork)
3/8" threaded rod 3/8" nuts (to fit threaded rod) Cut a 4" length of the PVC. Cut the 3' section of threaded rod in half. Grind one end of each piece of rod to a point. Drill two 3/8" holes in the PVC (at 6 & 12 o'clock). Insert both threaded rods (points inward) into the PVC. Thread a nut onto both ends of both pieces of rod.....aww hell, just look here How To Change Fork Seals (Inverted forks) - Custom Fighters - Custom Streetfighter Motorcycle Forum

On the forum portal, all your title reads is "Does anyone have a fork...?" and it makes me giggle.
