Default Brakes...

Hey all, been awhile since I've been on here...

Anyways, been riding the bike on the days that it's been decent out. Well, the brakes sound HORRIBLE. Do you all know of any good brake cleaner, ways to clean the brakes, whatever you can do to keep them from squealing everytime I come to stop? The pads are fine, so I know its not just metal on metal.

Any suggestions?

Most high performance brake pads will squeal.

they're whatever come stock on it i'm pretty sure.

they didn't use to squeal at all, but it has sat over winter. mabye with a good bath it'll go away, but it's just getting downright obnoxious

You may try just going out on a backroad and doing some emergency stoppin. The corrosion/dust that built up on your rotor over the last few months may be gunking up your pads causing squeelie issues. Just get up to whatever speed and hit the brakes hard, just like you would do practicing emergency stopping or bedding in a new set of pads. Plus, it's fun

Brake quiet never hurt anything either, but if you give your bike 10 or 15 really good power brakes, it should go away.
