I feel that it's time to retire the old leather jacket and get something newer and more updated. I'd like to get opinions on what you all wear. But here is the catch. I am 6'6" and I can't just walk into any normal store and try on something and have it fit. I have to special order most everything. I want a leather jacket with a low collar, pre bent arms would be great. Removable inner liner and pads. I'm not after a crertin brand but I do want a quality brand. I also like to hear what you have to say about some good leather long cuff gloves. I need like a 4xl cause of my long fingers. Please help me guys. What do you recommend?

I have a teknic jacket. It survived a nasty wreck. I still rock it. I love it.
Id recommend teknic, fieldsheer, icon, of course alpinestar or Joe rocket, but fieldsheer is probably the most economical Gloves - I don't recommend fieldsheer. The fingers are cut way to long on the pinky and thumb. I love my wrist length cortechs. May check them out for some gauntlets.

While it certainly isn't always the case, you typically get what you pay for.
I wasn't very impressed with Fieldsheer gloves, either. They were affordable and comfortable, but they burned through at the wrist and some seams pulled apart when I low-sided at Hallett. The Fieldsheer pants and jacket held up pretty well, however, for both low-sides and I am still wearing them today.

You might want to look at the versatility of the garment that you are going to purchase. Will you be able to wear it in all the conditions that you want to ride in. I got a great deal on a Cortech jacket here, that was some of the best money I have spent. Wore it last Saturday in 90 degree temperatures and without the liner in it yet have rode in the low 40's. The bottom line get something that you will be able to wear all the time to protect you from whatever might happen.

I'll second that. Decide what conditions/environments you will ride in and plan your purchase accordingly. A smokin' good deal on a leather jacket is much less of a good deal if it is too hot to wear in July and August, etc.
I purchased a perforated leather two-piece set. The perforations help it ventilate in the hot...check. It has a zip-out liner. Cold and wet weather...check. The pants have a full 360 zipper to attach to the jacket. Track days...check. I don't want to wear full leather all the time when I ride on the street, so I can just wear the jacket on those days. Daily rides...check. With a versatile set that suits my needs the best, I feel I am getting the best mileage out of my dollar.
