I'm just looking for opinions on brands. I understand versatility in using in all weather conditions. Also trust me when I say I know George and Jenny and the crew at Tergins well. I want to know what brand have held up well and what brands are more style over form and function. What brands fit like they are labeled. If it's an XXL does it fit like an XXL?

IMHO - Icon is way more style over function. If you're wanting a race-inspired precurved sleeved jacket, ICON is not the route you should choose.
The majority of jackets are numerically sized, so it's hard to compare them to how a t-shirt would fit as far as a large fitting like a large. Your best bet for sizing would be to measure your sleeve length, chest, trunk, etc and order based on those measurements. Also keep in mind, the jackets are cut to be snug over only one layer (i.e - a tshirt) so if you're planning in wearing a hoodie in cooler weather, account for that in your sizing. If I could afford it, since I too struggle with being very stick shaped, I'd go this route and get one custom made. Vanson Leathers - Motorcycle Jackets for men and women
