The title says it all. Which bikes shops in the area would you recommend for gear and accessories? I've been getting by like a cheapskate with a Nike windbreaker and my old Thor dirtbike gloves, but it's time to by some respectable (and more useful/safe) gear. I'd also like to look into a combination tail light/turn signal kit for my bike.
And if you prefer a certain website over the brick-and-mortars, send a link my way. Thanks in advance for the suggestions! |

All the local stores suck for sportbike apparel if you ask me. Cyclegear is pretty good, but the closest one is in st. Louis. I order a lot of stuff from motorcycle superstore, but I hate to because you can't try anything on. I'd just run to stl if I were you.

Check out our local sponsors first.

Come down to Jefferson City and go to Tergin Motorsports. There is nothing that you can get online that you cannot get at the shop. Pricing will be the same or better on nearly everything, with the added benefit that you'll get to work with real people who will stand behind the sale.

Just go straight through Jefferson City like you're going to the lake. Once you're out of town, it's on the same exit as Tractor Supply, just way up on top of the hill on the right.

With all the great things you Jeff City guys say about them I wish they would open a store in Columbia too. I guess I will have to drive that way when I go to the lake instead of down Hwy 5. I need some good riding gloves.

George and Jenny, the owners, are what makes Tergin's great. George is one of those guys that will do absolutely whatever he can to make sure the customer is happy (as long as the customer isn't trying to rip him).
I have purchased all my riding gear, tires, track bodywork, parts, etc through Tergin's. I call them with what I need, Jenny finds it through her suppliers, and it is in within a few days. I get the added satisfaction of doing business with a local shop who will be there for me if I need them for something mechanical.
